Ferroelectric and Relaxor-Like Electromechanical Strain in BaTi1-xSnxO3 Ceramics

Abstract

The electromechanical strain induced in BaTi1-xSnxO3 ceramics at room temperature is maximal for x ≈ 0.09. This results from the superposition of electrostrictive (relaxor-type) and ferroelectric strain contributions in this composition range.
