Abstract
The combined effect of metamaterials (MTMs) and nonlinear ferroelectric layers in guiding electromagnetic wave has been studied. The dispersion relation for the electromagnetic surface wave (EMSW) which is TE mode of propagation has been derived and numerically solved. Moreover, the power for the propagating wave at the interface has been presented. The effect of the nonlinear term is explicitly studied. Results show that EMSW depends on the nonlinear term.
