ABSTRACT
In the research work, we had planned a one-step procedure to prepare magnetite/graphene oxide (Fe3O4/GO) nanocomposites by using chemical co-precepitation method. The polycrystalline phase formation of the magnetite nanoparticles was confirmed by using X-ray diffraction setup. Structural and surface morphology properties of Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites are analysed by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The Raman spectrum of Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites shows the enhancement of D and G band, which are associated with GO sheets due to the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Magnetic property measurement was carried out by physical property measurement system (PPMS), which shows its superparamagnetic behaviour.
