Abstract

The dielectric properties of the rubber composites based on natural rubber (NR)/epoxidized natural rubber (ENR-25) blends filled with Ba0.85Ca0.15Ti0.9Zr0.1O3 (BCT-BZT) was studied. The effect of BCT-BZT loading at 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 parts per hundred of rubber (phr) on the phase composition, chemical functionality, swelling properties, dielectric properties and morphology of rubber composites was investigated by XRD, FTIR, swelling method, impedance analysis and SEM. BCT-BZT particles were well dispersed throughout the NR/ENR-25 matrix. The swelling properties decreased with increasing of BCT-BZT whereas the value of the dielectric constant (ε) increased with increasing BCT-BZT content.
