Abstract
Cotton fabric was plasma treated and then loaded with Ag6Si2O7 by in-situ precipitation to prepare plasma-treated/Ag6Si2O7-loaded cotton fabric and the effects of treatment parameters on its photocatalytic activity were studied. Plasma treatment facilitated more efficient loading of Ag6Si2O7 on plasma-treated cotton fabric, which was confirmed by SEM, XRD and EDS. The plasma-treated/Ag6Si2O7-loaded cotton fabric had efficient photocatalytic activity in UV-visible region illustrated by UV-vis DRS. With the increasing treatment time, the degradation ratio of MB solution by plasma-treated/Ag6Si2O7-loaded cotton fabric increased first and then decreased, and it increased first and then almost remained unchanged with the increasing output power.
