Abstract
Bi0.5(Na0.9K0.1)0.5TiO3 was fabricated using solid state rection route. Samples were sintered at 1150 °C/2 hr. Phase formation was confirmed using X-Ray diffraction and microstructure was studied by using Scanning Electron Microscopy. Uniform well shaped grains of 1–4 micron were observed. Band gap was observed of 3.19 eV which is in UV range. Poled and unpoled sample surfaces were examined using a resazurin-based photocatalyst indicator ink. Clear difference was observed in performance which conclude that electric poling has drastic impact on photocatalysts performance
