Abstract
The dielectric properties and the sources of electrical noise in ferroelectric capacitors (resistive, dielectric, ‘excess’ or 1/f) provide information as to the internal structure of the device and of its processing. This information and the conclusions drawn from it are discussed for ferroelectric capacitors on silicon. The contribution from 1/f noise is negligible.
