Abstract

SrMO₃ (M:Ce and Zr) thin films and SrCeO₃/SrZrO₃ superlattices have been made by ArF excimer laser ablation method. The structures of SrCeO₃ and SrZrO₃ are strongly distorted from the ideal perovskite structure. A characteristic property of these oxides is a large amount of protons can be introduced into the crystal, when acceptor (trivalent cation) ions are doped.
