Abstract

We report on ultrafast absorption measurements on newly synthetized low band gap thiophene-based polymers in film and solution, using femtosecond pump and probe technique. The results show very fast excited state kinetics, which occur on a femtosecond and picosecond time scale. The ultrafast relaxation of the photoexcitation is related to exciton dynamics.
