Abstract
We have synthesised a series of polyquinoxalines and model oligomers. This paper concentrates on optical and electrical properties of the fivering dihydrotetra-azapentacene. When it is doped via electron and/or proton transfer, a variety of charged species are formed. Cyclic voltammetry reveals three oxidation states, discussed here in relation to conductivity data using HC1 gas doping, optical absorption spectra, and preliminary ESR work.
