Abstract

Fractal theory is being used frequently in signal analysis for quite some time. Recently, some applications have been reported in the medical imaging area and a study has been performed to check the applicability of the fractal concept for nondestructive evaluation. That study involved certain simulated images. The present work deals with the application of fractal theory with reconstructed images obtained by Fraunhofer tomographic scanner. The pixel-size is (approx.) 20 microns for a 512 × 512 display.
