Can Oil Company Imports Be Substituted?

Abstract

This article examines the problem of import substitution in Russia’s oil and gas complex. It analyzes the industry’s level of dependency on imported equipment and shows that one approach to solving this problem involves active cooperation among equipment suppliers, oil and gas companies, and federal and regional governments.
