Researching Corruption in Russian Universities

Abstract

This article presents results of an analysis of student opinion about the level of bribery in Russian higher education. By looking at higher education institutes in the federal districts and the different sectoral specializations by level of corruption, we show that this scourge in Russian higher education has become a daily and scandalous part of our modern educational process.

Notes

1. We did not analyze the data on institutes of higher education in the Crimean Federal Okrug.

2. Due to the small number of institutes involved, we did not conduct a study of this group. However, we did take student opinions about these institutes into account when analyzing the total set of institutes in our study.
