The aim of this paper is to advance the knowledge of DH business by reviewing existing studies of DH as an inter-organizational and complex phenomenon and to propose the ground for strategic management studies. Admitting the fact that DH requires interdisciplinary approach we shed the light on the theoretical tenets explaining this phenomenon from managerial theories perspectives and suggest research avenues that might contribute to the future DH studies.
