Abstract
The purpose of this study was the development of a test for the overhead volleyball pass. Desired height and horizontal distance were defined and assessed by ropes and a floor target. The test was administered to college women and a similar test, with slight modifications, was administered to junior high school girls.
Reliabilities were determined by analysis of variance procedures. Reliability estimates for 5, 10, 15, and 20 trials administered on one or more days were presented. The test is claimed to measure certain defined aspects of a volleyball pass and, therefore, has logical validity.
