Augmented Knowledge of Results and its Effect upon Acquisition and Retention of a Gross Motor Skill

Abstract

College students (N=78) practiced the badminton long serve 20 times daily for eight days under four different knowledge conditions. Although the performance of males was significantly better than that of females were no significant treatment effects on the last day of practice with knowledge or on a post-test and a retention test with augmented knowledge removed from the situation.
