Abstract
A dynamometer to provide static and dynamic loads was constructed from standard hydraulic parts, and used to record force-time and force-displacement curves. Peak force was measured for the static tests and impulse and work output for the dynamic tests. Results were tabulated for a group of 42 males, 8 to 11 yr old. Instrument accuracy and precision and test validity and reliability were considered adequate.
