Abstract
The Delphi Technique, an instrument that can be used to solicit, collate, and report judgments and estimations of a selected population regarding a future event, was used in this study in an attempt to identify possible and probable conditions of leisure at or near the year 2000. A panel of 36 AAHPER national and district board of governors voting members completed all three rounds of questionnaires. It was concluded that the Delphi Technique is a valid tool for obtaining consensus on conditions of leisure in the future. Meaningful criteria and implications regarding leisure at or near the year 2000 were established, and many possible and probable conditions of leisure in the future were identified.
