ABSTRACT
Cognitive Neuroscience provides a rich variety of methods for the investigation of the neural underpinnings of human behaviour. This paper gives an overview of the most popular measurement methods used in neuroscience such as EEG and MRI, that have relevance for forensic psychology. After outlining these methods, I have provided some examples from forensic research. The paper closes with a brief discussion of the challenges confronting forensic researchers and clinicians using neuroimaging in research as well as in the court room.
