John Lindsay-Poland is the Wage Peace Coordinator of the American Friends Service Committee in San Francisco, and the author of Emperors in the Jungle: The Hidden History of the U.S. in Panama. (Duke University Press, 2003) He is working on a book about the role of the United States in the war in Colombia.
