Abstract
Problematic behavior in the workplace is not a new phenomenon. Companies have policies and procedures to address the more commonplace problems such as chronic lateness, absenteeism, workplace conflict, and substance abuse. When confronted with any of these issues, a supervisor refers to the company policies that may recommend formal disciplinary action, consultation with Human Resources (HR), or referral to the Employee Assistance Professional (EAP) for evaluation and counseling. Confounding this historical picture are little or unknown problem behaviors associated with sexually compulsive behaviors in the workplace. One such problem includes sexual use of the Internet and its implications for employers and employees. This article presents a list of resources including online, written, and referral services for professionals dealing with employees who exhibit problematic sexual behavior in the workplace.
