Photography: A Writer's Tool for Thinking, Rendering, and Revising

Abstract

This article draws on the complementary processes of writing and photography. A theory and method of instruction employing visual and metacognitive strategies are suggested to aid students in discovering unseen details and meaning when writing descriptive prose.
