Abstract
A simple method for the determination of furazolidone in meat tissues by HPLC using nitrofurazone as internal standard is presented. The samples were extracted with acetonitrile, the organic layer then being separated and evaporated to dryness. The lower limit of quantification was 3 μg/kg with an injection volume of 20 μl, the recovery of furazolidone varying from 97 to 100 %.
