Abstract
This study examines recently published articles from leading academic real estate journals to investigate three key questions: 1) What areas have attracted the most attention? 2) Where is the real estate discipline headed, if anywhere? and 3) Who is taking us there? This investigation should prove useful to both academics working toward tenure and promotion and practitioners wishing to influence the direction of future real estate research. The study outlines where the real estate literature is currently focused, where it might be headed, and areas that may deserve greater attention.
