Glacial geomorphology of the Lambert glacier and its surrounding mountains

Pages 251-269 | Published online: 23 Dec 2008

Abstract

The results of glacial‐geomorphic observations in the area of the Lambert Glacier, the largest outlet glacier in Antarctica, are reviewed. The basic types of glacial forms and bedrock relief are described, and attention is focused on the widespread development of preglacial planation surfaces. The principal stages of landform development are traced.
