Abstract
A concise landscape‐ecological monograph examines interrelationships among landscape components and elements of the environment in a mountainous area in northwestern Svalbard. A major focus of attention is on how these interrelationships produce a series of distinctive geoecological units (landscapes) that are highly variable spatially.
