Listening in the 21st Century

Abstract

Because the communication technology and business environments have changed considerably in recent years, so must our concept of effective listening. As we enter the 21st century, the need for research into the scope and impact of recent changes is great if we are to determine the most effective listening strategies and behaviors to adopt. This article explores the idea that in tomorrow's business climate, much of the success of the business will depend on our ability to change our thinking about listening.
