“Conduit financing is poised to become the fastest growing source of capital for commercial real estate over the next five years,” according to Linda Tresslar of the Balcor Consulting Group. Industry analysts predict that conduit financing will grow from $500 million in 1993 to over $5 billion by the end of 1994, providing a major component of the necessary capital for the recovering real estate markets.
