The Application of Biological Wastewater Treatment Technology in Shengli Oilfield

Abstract

The authors have summarized and analyzed the research and application of biological treatment on the oil production wastewater of Shengli oilfield. The results indicated that the biological wastewater treatment technology had special advantages in removing dissolved oil, emulsified oil, and other organic pollutants. By biological treatment or combining it with other process, oil production wastewater can be discharged, reinjected, or recycled effectively. Biological technology plays an important part in solving the problem of wastewater in the petroleum industry.
