Ana Respício
Ana Respício is an assistant professor in the Informatics Department of the University of Lisbon, where she is also a senior researcher in the Operations Research Center. Her research interests include decision support systems (theory and technologies), simulation, optimization, metaheuristics, and cybersecurity risk management. Dr. Respício is vice-chair of the IFIP Working Group 8.3 on Decision Support Systems, a founder of the Group of Studies in Social Simulation (GUESS) at the University of Lisbon, and a member of the Euro Working Group on Decision Support Systems. Her publications appear in such journals as International Transactions in Operational Research, Journal of Decision Systems, Intelligent Decision Technologies, Journal of Scheduling, Public Transport, Informatica, and Computing and Informatics, as well as in several books.
Frada Burstein
Frada Burstein is a professor in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, where she is a Leader of the Community Health Informatics theme of the ICT for resilient Communities Flagship. She has been a chief investigator for a variety of research projects supported by grants and scholarships from the Australian Research Council and industry. Dr. Burstein’s current research interests include knowledge management technologies, intelligent decision support, and health informatics. She is co-editor-in-chief of Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems (VINE), an area editor for Decision Support Systems, a vice chair of IFIP WG8.3 on Decision Support Systems, and a fellow of the Australian Computer Society. She has published in Decision Support Systems, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Knowledge Management Research & Practice, Journal of Information Technology, Expert Systems with Applications, Internet Research, European Journal of Operational Research, and the Medical Journal of Australia, among many others.
