Water treatment model for pollutant exposure assessment

Pages 285-305 | Accepted 29 Apr 1980, Published online: 15 Dec 2008

Abstract

A mathematical model of potable water treatment for toxic substance removal for use in exposure assessment modeling has been developed. The sedimentation, coagulation‐flocculation, filtration, aeration, chemical oxidation, and granular activated carbon adsorption treatment processes are modeled. The results of an example run of the model are presented.
