Abstract
Traffic delays on the El Paso‐Ciudad Juarez international bridges are common and add a significant amount of pollutants to the air. A computer simulation model recently developed at the University of Texas at El Paso shows that over 1280 combined tons of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and oxides of nitrogen are added to the air, annually, from vehicles waiting to cross the Cordova Bridge.
