The transport of the pesticide Atrazine from the fresh water of the wetlands of Brittany to the salt water of the bay of Mont St. Michel (France)

Abstract

This paper is concerned with possible environmental hazards connected with the use of agricultural chemicals (pesticides) in the agriculture of the reclaimed lands of northeastern Brittany (France). The transport of Atrazine from the site of use in the polders of Brittany by fresh water and sediment to the salt water of the bay of Mont St. Michel is examined.
