Summary

A method is described for the determination of ammonia in sugar beet processing using an ammonia gas‐sensing probe. The procedure uses a standard additions method without any previous treatment of the sample. The results obtained agree with those obtained using commonly recommended methods for the determination of ammonia in such samples.
