Abstract

Inexpensive automated event samplers have been designed and constructed to collect water samples during both rainfall and snowmelt events. These versatile collectors can be connected to a range of water sampling systems and are capable of being triggered in several ways. Analysis of event samples may identify some of the processes leading to surface water acidification.
