Research and evaluation of the quality of underground waters for the domestic waste disposal site in the Athens Greater Area

Abstract

This paper emphasises the aim of establishing instalations in the domestic waste disposal sites, as well as the methodology for their designing and monitoring.

In order to monitor the disposal site in the Athens Greater Area, leachate sampling and bore holes, evaluation of the existing bore holes, as well as assessment of the surrounding geology were carried‐out.
