Abstract

The study surveyed 177 international students from Europe, Asia, and South America studying hospitality management in Switzerland. The focus of the study was to determine factors that influenced their choice of schools and the courses they preferred. Further, the study sought to identify if differences existed between European, Asian and South American students for the study variables. The results indicated that the reputation of an institution was the primary driver influencing student choice of schools and that international students put more emphasis on the technical aspects of hospitality education versus its business components.
