M. Naveed Baqir
M. Naveed Baqir is an assistant professor in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management Department at the University of Delaware. He is the director of experimental guestroom (www.experimentalguestroom.com) at the University of Delaware Marriott Courtyard. He earned his PhD in information systems from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received MBA in 2005 and MS in Technology in 2004 from Eastern Illinois University along with an MSc in Computer Science and BSc in Mathematics and Physics from Pakistan. He has nine years of teaching and three years of professional software and IT systems development experience. During 2006 and 2008, he received funding from the government of Pakistan to conduct research studies on information communication technologies (ICT) based socioeconomic development in Pakistan. His areas of interest include ICT for development, hospitality information technology, knowledge management and electronic government. His work has appeared in the Communications of AIS, Journal of Knowledge Management and Economic Insight.
