Reclaiming the Church's Healing Ministry

Pages 17-22 | Published online: 06 Jan 2014

Abstract

Complementary medicine is in the forefront of our current news. Energetic healing is an exciting therapy used in health care settings to reduce anxiety and hasten healing. Rooted in the laying on of hands, it can be used to bring harmony and balance to those who suffer physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Within the Judeo-Christian tradition, Jesus modeled healing through touch and commissioned his followers to continue this healing ministry within the early church. Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is the educational resource that can help our churches reclaim their call to healing.
