N. P. Angelin's work on fossil ostracodes

Pages 407-409 | Published online: 06 Jan 2010

Abstract

N. P. Angelin not only was aware of the fact that the beyrichiacean ostracodes are dimorphic; he also realized before anybody else that the Battus species described by Beyrich and himself are ostracodes. He introduced, without a description, the name Battus Kloedeni for an “ostrapod n. g.” in 1838—1839.
