The Ancylus Transgression in the Skede Mose Area, Öland

Pages 5-36 | Published online: 06 Jan 2010

Abstract

The study concerns the establishment of a time table for the Ancylus transgression of central Öland based on detailed pollen analyses and showing how it is possible to record the beginning of a transgression in a beach covered peat. Sole C14 datings are considered to be of limited value if not accompanied by modern pollen investigations.
