The first report on “till wedges” in Europe: A reply

Pages 273-276 | Published online: 06 Jan 2010

Abstract

The eriticism by Worsley of my paper on till wedges is based on mistakes and misunderstandings. A close examination of the argumentation reveals its weaknesses. After having been properly named and discussed by Dreimanis and by Mörner, “till wedge” (in Swedish moränkil) is now a specific geological term covering both morphology and genesis. Till wedges are formed by cracking-and-filling or squeczing-in.
