Abstract
The composition of the magnesite mineral from the Rakas and Åpartjåkkå deposits has been studied by an electron-microprobe analyser. When calculated from the diffractometer curves, the c-parameter show no dependence upon the FeO content (0.25–8.55%) of the mineral. The cell parameters determined by the Hägg-Guinier camera, however, reveal a slight dependence on the FeO content but not at all of the magnitude described in the literature.
