Summary
It is reported about macroscopical and histological observations performed on horny nuptial tubercles of Rutilus rubilio Bp. v. rubella Bp. of Trasimeno lake. It were noticed different features from those ones of fishes belonging to the same species and living in river waters. It is confirmed therefore the opinion of some previous workers according to whom the above mentioned fishes of Trasimeno lake represent a separated variety.
