Abstract

Viene segnalata la presenza sulle coste della Toscana di due specie di Gastrotrichi Macrodasioidei nuovi per i mari italiani: Paraturbanella teissieri e Turbanella thiophila; per la seconda specie è il secondo rinvenimento in assoluto. P. thiophila è un tipico componente delle biocenosi di sabbie poco ossigenate (the sulfide system) ed è notevole anche per le sue dimensioni.
