Abstract
The variation in distribution of various antennal sensilla in the post embryonic stages of Periplaneta americana L. has been studied. The sensillar population of mechano and olfactory sensilla increased 9–11 times from 1st nymphal stages to females and males respectively. However a marked difference between total number of mechano and olfactory sensilla in nymphal and adult stages were observed. A high degree of correlation of sensilla chaetica, sensilla trichoidea and sensilla basiconica per segment in various nymphal and adult stages has been also observed.
