Abstract
The results of a floristic survey of benthic marine macroalgae from Karpathos Island (the Aegean Sea, Greece) are reported. A total of 202 taxa at specific and infraspecific levels were identified, comprising 136 Rhodophyta, 42 Ochrophyta and 24 Chlorophyta, 19 of which (13 Rhodophyta, 3 Ochrophyta and 3 Chlorophyta) were new to Greece.
