Abstract
Four new species of parasitic fungi belonging to the genus Stigmatomyces occurring on different species of insects of the order Diptera from Sierra Leone are described. These are S. brevis, parasitic on Hecamedoides pusillus Canzoneri (Ephydridae), S. livii, parasitic on Xanthocanace sp. (Canacidae), S. longimasculus, parasitic on Ochthera pilimana Becker (Ephydridae) and S. typopsilopae, parasitic on Typopsilopa dimidiata Canzoneri et Meneghini (Ephydridae).
