L'Autore ha studiato lo sviluppo del gametofito femminile di Rudoeckia bicolor Nutt., R. hirta L., R. hirta L. var. meine freude Hort., R. amplexicaulis Vahl e R. purpurea L. (Echinacea purpurea Moench) riscontrando il tipo Normale in R. purpurea ed il tipo Euphorbia dulcis nelle rimanenti specie. Ha deteminato il numero dei cromosomi delle specie studiate.
