Abstract
Development of the seed integument of Cercis siliquastrum L., with particular attention to the appearance and structure of the light line.—A research on the growth of the seed integument of Cercis siliquastrum L. has been carried out with the optical and. polarizing microscope and with the scanning electron microscope. The first appearance of the light line in the palisade layer, in relation to the development stage of the seed, has been ascertained. The structural nature of the light line is discussed.
